Who we are

  • We’re a VC-backed start-up that has raised $9M to date frxom VC funds and private investors. Founded in 2019 by Florin Tufan, Mihai Vinaga and Sorina Vlasceanu, we’re currently a team of 50+ driven individuals, mostly engineers and technical people, investing our time to solve problems that haven’t been solved before anywhere in the world.

What we do

  • We’re building the single source of truth for company data across all industries. We process billions of webpages and petabytes of data every week, then apply several AI models to break them down into usable business data, developing a deep understanding of the elements that define a business.
  • This results in 100+ data points associated with each company, everything from company description, alternative names, tags, business category & industry, office and retail locations, risks, size, classifications, products, certifications, and beyond.

  • Update you on the progress of our recruitment process.

Your responsibilities

  • Contribute to data, ML, crawling, infra, or delivery projects based on team priorities.
  • Ramp up on unfamiliar areas through hands-on work and guided learning.
  • Design and ship production-grade components that integrate into live systems.
  • Write code that survives scale, not just local testing.
  • Investigate failures, trace root causes, and fix them at the source.
  • Take ownership of problems that aren’t perfectly defined and shape them into something solvable.
  • Reach your first production deployment within your first month, earning trust through delivery.

Our qualifications

  • Before building Veridion, our 3 co-founders (Sorina, Florin and Mihai) worked at companies that impacted billions of users, having been exposed to diverse areas of technology that span from full stack web development to Big Data and robust Cloud infrastructure, as well as their product and business development proficiency.
  • This broad mix, critical to a true data-driven mindset, has been imprinted in our company’s culture since day one. And it massively steps up our game as engineers.

Your qualifications

  • There’s no list of tech requirements for this internship:
    • The only real requirement is solving the challenges in the recruitment process, using any language, stack, or tools you’re comfortable with.
    • What matters is how you think, how much effort you put into truly understanding the problem, and how you structure and document your approach.
    • A sophisticated solution means nothing if it solves the wrong problem. If you define the problem poorly, everything that follows will be flawed.
    • These challenges are very similar with the type of tasks you’ll work on once you join our team, so choose the one that you think you’ll do your best at.
