Acceptable Use Policy
How the Veridion APIs, data, and tools may and may not be used.
Updated: 2 July 2026 Effective: 2 July 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy (the "AUP") governs your use of Veridion's websites, applications, APIs, the API Playground, the Market Research tool, developer portals, data samples, and all other products and services (the "Services") operated by Soleadify Inc. d/b/a Veridion. This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of the Veridion Terms & Conditions (the "Terms"). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms. Violating this AUP is a material breach of the Terms and may result in immediate suspension or termination and legal action.
The core principle is simple: Veridion Data is proprietary. It may be accessed only through your authorized use of the Services, only within the limits of your plan, and it may not be scraped, harvested, redistributed, used commercially, or used in any public-facing product without a Formal Agreement with Veridion.
1. No Scraping, Crawling, or Automated Extraction
You must not, and must not enable or permit any third party to:
- scrape, crawl, spider, harvest, scrape-through, or use bots, scripts, or automated means to access, index, copy, or extract Veridion Data or any part of the Services, other than through your authorized API usage within your plan limits;
- bulk-download, mass-export, systematically page through, or enumerate records, IDs, or query spaces (for example, iterating through identifiers, coordinates, or search parameters) in order to accumulate, reconstruct, mirror, or approximate any portion of Veridion's datasets;
- circumvent, disable, bypass, or exceed any rate limit, quota, Credit metering, throttling, authentication, or other access or technical protection control;
- use multiple accounts, API Tokens, IP addresses, proxies, or identities, or otherwise coordinate access, to evade limits, quotas, or Trial restrictions, or to obtain additional free Credits;
- interfere with, probe, or circumvent Veridion's anti-abuse measures, including rate limiting, anomaly detection, watermarking, fingerprinting, or honeypot/decoy records; or
- access the Services through any interface or method other than those Veridion officially provides and documents.
Veridion monitors usage and deploys technical measures to detect and prevent the above. You must not interfere with those measures or attempt to identify or neutralize decoy records or watermarks.
2. No Commercial Use or Redistribution Without a Formal Agreement
Except as expressly authorized under a Formal Agreement signed with Veridion, you must not:
- use Veridion Data for any commercial purpose or to generate revenue, directly or indirectly;
- sell, license, sublicense, rent, lease, syndicate, publish, broadcast, distribute, disclose, transfer, or otherwise make Veridion Data available to any third party;
- incorporate Veridion Data into any product, dataset, feature, report, or output that is provided to, displayed to, or accessible by third parties, or that is public-facing;
- use Veridion Data to build, train, fine-tune, benchmark, populate, enrich, or improve any database, machine-learning model, or service that competes with Veridion or replicates, substitutes for, or is derived from its datasets; or
- create derivative datasets from, or retain Veridion Data beyond the scope and duration permitted by, your plan.
Commercial, production, and public-facing use requires a Formal Agreement and a paid plan. Contact sales@veridion.com.
3. Trial API Tokens and Free Credits — Evaluation Only
Trial API tokens and free Credits are issued solely for internal evaluation, testing, and integration development. When using Trial access you must not:
- use Trial Veridion Data in any production system, live environment, customer-facing feature, or public-facing product or service;
- use Trial Veridion Data for any commercial purpose or redistribute it to any third party;
- share, sell, or transfer your trial API token; or
- create multiple accounts or tokens to obtain additional free Credits or extend Trial limits.
Trial access exists so you can assess data fit and build an integration in a non-production environment before entering into a Formal Agreement — not to operate a live or public product.
4. Playground and Market Research Tool — Evaluation Only
The Playground and the Market Research tool expose live Veridion Data for evaluation and internal analysis only. When using them you must not:
- systematically query, page through, cache, store, compile, scrape, or otherwise harvest data in order to accumulate or reconstruct any portion of Veridion's datasets;
- use them to build, train, benchmark, or improve any competing product, dataset, or model;
- display, republish, redistribute, or make available to any third party the data you obtain; or
- use the data obtained for any commercial or public-facing purpose.
Manual, reasonable, internal evaluation of individual results is permitted; automated or bulk collection is not.
5. Attribution and Backlinks
Where the Documentation for a specific API or product requires attribution to Veridion and/or a backlink wherever the data is published or displayed, you must comply with that requirement in full. Removing, obscuring, or omitting required attribution or backlinks is a violation of this AUP. Providing attribution does not expand your license or authorize commercial or public-facing use where a Formal Agreement is required.
6. Security and Integrity
You must not:
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, other accounts, or Veridion's systems or networks;
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services, or breach or circumvent security or authentication measures, without Veridion's prior written authorization;
- introduce malware, or transmit any code, files, or programs designed to disrupt, damage, or limit the Services;
- impose an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on the Services, or launch any denial-of-service or similar attack; or
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Services, or attempt to derive source code, data-collection methods, or model weights.
7. Lawful Use and Content
You must not use the Services:
- in violation of any applicable law or regulation, including data protection, export control, sanctions, and anti-spam laws;
- to infringe or misappropriate any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
- to send unsolicited communications (spam) in violation of applicable law; or
- in any manner that could harm, disable, overburden, or impair the Services or interfere with any other party's use of the Services.
8. Monitoring and Enforcement
Veridion may monitor use of the Services and review API Usage Logs to enforce this AUP and the Terms. If we determine, in our reasonable discretion, that you have violated this AUP, we may — without limiting our other rights and remedies — warn you, throttle or suspend your access, revoke API Tokens, terminate your account, delete unlawfully obtained data, and pursue legal remedies, including injunctive relief and damages. We may act immediately and without prior notice where we reasonably believe scraping, redistribution, unauthorized commercial use, or a security threat is occurring. We may also report unlawful activity to law enforcement.
9. Reporting Violations
To report suspected misuse of the Services or Veridion Data, or a security vulnerability, contact legal@veridion.com (or security@veridion.com for security matters).
10. Changes to this AUP
Veridion may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be notified as described in the Terms, and your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
