Hacking Big Numbers
A 54-hour AI and business data hackathon where teams compete to solve real-world problems using Veridion's company graph. Bounty challenges from Veridion and partners, plus a head-to-head ML tournament.

Student hackathon
Words of Power
A 10-hour student hackathon. A text-based challenge where every word is a strategic weapon with a cost. Build an algorithm that picks the best counter-word, manages costs, and adapts to a system that changes every round. Can you outsmart it?
Build smart logic to pick the best counter-word
Every round presents a system-generated word. Your algorithm decides the best response. The lowest final score wins.
Your algorithm plays live
Make GET requests to retrieve system words, POST your counter-word, and manage the outcome. Speed and strategy both matter.
Balance risk, cost, and penalties
Each word carries a cost. Penalties stack. No two rounds are the same, so your strategy needs to adapt on the fly.

Beyond our own events, Veridion participates in the broader tech and research community, sponsoring challenges, mentoring teams, and putting company data in the hands of builders.
Noaptea Companiilor
Two evenings at our Bucharest office, Sky Tower, 20th floor. An open door for anyone curious about Veridion: what we build, how we think, what it takes to work here. The program includes a talk on cultivating excellence from our CTO, a careers session, a behind-the-scenes tech walkthrough, and a live challenge with Apple AirPods as prize.
How to Web
We keep a corner at How to Web every year: beanbags, open conversations, and a standing invitation to ask anything. Our team shows up to meet people, not just to exhibit. Veridion members also take the stage: Mihai Vinaga, CTO, delivered a keynote on how Veridion rebuilt its infrastructure to unlock a 30x compute advantage and save $2M per month compared to cloud.
HackaGrowth
The first hackathon built around distribution, not product. Participants have 5 days to grow a newsletter from 0 to 500 real subscribers. Veridion is a founding partner alongside Blindspot, Vola, and Play Vertical. Top 4 finishers win $1,000 each plus a direct chance to join Veridion's growth team. Stefan Gergely (Head of Growth) and Cosmin Pîrvu (Startup Program Manager) serve as judges.
HackITAll by LSAC
Veridion sponsored a dedicated challenge track, "Build a tool using Veridion data", with 30 competing teams selected by Veridion based on submitted CVs. Alongside Deutsche Bank's Green Tech track, the event brought together students tackling real data and engineering problems.
SkillUP and Technology AI by EduUP
Veridion ran a full applied education track: 6 workshops covering Big Data, AI and ML, Cloud, and AI in Business, with engineers and leads from the team acting as mentors. A program for young people who want real technical depth, not just theory.
DeepTech GigaHack
The largest hackathon ever held in the Republic of Moldova: 48 hours, hundreds of participants, and Veridion as a partner and data provider. Organized by Technovator and Digital Park, supported by USAID, Sweden, and the UK. Held at Digital Park, Chișinău.
