Software Engineer
You define how the products get built: the services and APIs behind everything customers touch, thought through from technical solution to what happens when it grows. When the hard problems cross into data or ML, you cross with them.

The way we work is not for everyone, and that's fine. We'd rather you know now than three interviews in. We dislike every side of micromanagement, so no one will hand you a detailed plan. You'll own things before you feel ready and the pace doesn't ease up.

What we do
- Crawl the entire internet and decide, page by page, what matters.
- Interpret everything we find with LLMs we train ourselves, in 125 languages.
- Resolve every source under the company it belongs to, in one living graph of 135M+ companies.
- Trace every datapoint back to the source it came from, so every judgment can be defended.
- Keep the history, so we notice when any one of them changes.
What you'll do
- Define the best technical solution and the infrastructure under it, thinking through the scenarios where the product grows before they arrive.
- Build scalable microservices and APIs, owning their performance and reliability once they carry real customer traffic.
- Prototype fast on thorny use cases instead of getting stuck in theory, because we ship early and often and learn from what comes back.
- Dive into complex problems alongside the Data and ML teams when the solution crosses system lines.
- Build the tools that show customers what our data can do, working directly with PreSales, Sales and Customer Success on what wins the room.

What we look for
- Production web development in Node.js (TypeScript preferred) or Java 8+, though the stack matters less to us than apps that carried real traffic.
- Secure, scalable REST APIs designed on microservices architecture, and the judgment of where service boundaries belong.
- Elasticsearch or a similar distributed search engine, plus strong relational database knowledge and comfort beyond it.
- Testing as a design habit, from unit through integration, end-to-end, regression, and performance.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure), with CI/CD as your default way of shipping.
